NERDBOX WORKSPACE

Nerdbox is a study-cafe and workspace chain tailored for students and young professionals (aged 14–30) on a budget. The chain spans 3 locations in Hanoi: Location 1 (31/26 Chua Ha), Location 2 (18/4 Ao Sen), and Location 3 (165 Duong Quang Ham). The project focuses on cost-effective operation and low maintenance overheads while providing a high-quality, comfortable environment for both individual study and group work with a strong brand identity.

[IDEA]
Design concept
The concept draws main inspiration from the brand identity itself: "Nerdbox", its owl logo, and the ethos "Think inside of the box". Adopting an adaptive Industrial style, the design embraces the raw, unfinished flaws of existing old buildings, transforming site constraints into unique, playful architectural highlights.

Space Layout & Experience
The spatial layout functions like an open-plan shared library, designed around a self-service model that grants maximum freedom of movement. Seamless visual connectivity throughout the space reinforces a focused study environment, inspiring productivity and a sense of shared academic community.

Details & Materials
Design details center around a playful interpretation of "boxes" and raw site features, turning unpolished walls, ceilings, and floors into signature visual elements. Core materials include exposed brickwork, vibrant orange-painted steel frames, and wooden chairs with orange-brown upholstery matching the brand's color palette.
